This cafe has become one of my favorite lunch spots. Love the freshness of there Sandwiches! Very Tasty
We cleaned our plates! The Kitcha Fifit smelled delicious and was so nice paired with the yogurt. Our favorite was the shahanful. It was so flavorful and filling. Both were great veggie options and more than enough for two people. I appreciate the chef for explaining how each dish is meant to be eaten when she served us. They also just renovated so the space is clean and welcoming. Check it out!
I had a donut here, it was pretty good. At one dollar the price is right. I really want to try the oxtails though. it's not a fancy place. Just a corner spot. perfect when you're in the neighborhood or when you're about to hop on the freeway. Full breakfast menu, chicken, wings, lasagna, french fries. What don't they have? Four stars for the quality of the $1 donut. Look for an update later.

Great breakfasts and their soups are amazing. Today I got the original breakfast and it was $10 for a big serving of everything you could want. Everything on the menus is very affordable, one of the only places I know in oakland that still keeps their prices low but the foods delicious. Service is fast and the owners are very friendly, highly recommend!
Shalom is one of my favorite go-to spots for breakfast! This is where I was introduced to Shahan ful as their recommendation to me and my life has changed forever! I was so tired of getting regular American breakfast. I was, as we say, a breakfast defector. Once, I ordered the ful every day for a week. Simon, the owner, is also a really nice guy and gives the best customer service! I'll update this with a review of the other food items when I stop my obsession with ful but honestly, my obsession may never end.
Shalom's Cafe & Donuts takes Johnny's Donuts space. decor, seating the same. new signs on building. offerings: coffee, tea, donuts, sammies, wings, oxtails, sides, combos. pasta. sphaghetti.. eats: old fashion/glazed donuts @1. -flakey, tasty, delicate as good johnny used to make. 3.5 stars take outs: -ready to eat foods in cabinets on right side of counter.
